Heerema Marine Contractors (HMC) has asked SeaVsat to supply it's crew on the Balder with Broadband Internet and VoIP voice services. The dedicated VSAT system via Ku-band will be implemented for these services.

The Balder is a big vessel belonging to HMC. It is used in big and complex projects at sea that require big cranes. On the Balder about 300 crew are active. The Balder was constructed in 1978 in Japan by Mitsui and measures 505 by 282 feet.

HMC  is a world-leading marine contractor for the oil and gas industry. HMC transports, installs and removes all types of offshore facilities and operates three of the four largest crane vessels in the world.
